Job description

Quality Assurance Technician

Responsibilities:

The QA Technician will be required to provide assistance and support to the Quality Department and operations function. He/she will also assist QA Engineers in carrying out First Article Inspection (FAI) and ensure the accurate preparation and submission of First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) documentation.

In addition to the above, the QA Technician will be required to:

1. Conduct FAI on new, revised, or critical wire harness parts.
2. Prepare and compile FAIR in accordance with customer specifications and standards.
3. Review and verify engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs (Bill of Material), and routing sheets against actual parts and measurements.
4. Use appropriate tools and equipment, such as multimeters, pull testers, and calipers, to inspect and verify product characteristics.
5. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and QA teams to collect necessary data for FAIR submission.
6. Maintain and manage the FAIR Tracker/Log Sheet for timely submission and status tracking.

Requirements:

To undertake all the above, the successful candidate will need to have the following:

• A Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or its equivalent.
• At least 1 to 2 years of working experience in machining, facility management, or handling fully automated machines and troubleshooting, preferably within the wire harness manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Spoken Mandarin is an added advantage but not essential.
• The ability to work extended hours as needed to meet project or production deadlines.
• Proficiency in using computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
