Job summary

Globus Castors (M) Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah is seeking a QA/QC inspector to perform quality inspections on materials, components, and finished products. You will evaluate conformance to drawings and specifications and report any defects promptly.

The role requires reading basic measurements, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team within a factory setting. Fresh graduates may apply; basic English is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in QA, QC, production, manufacturing, or factory operations is an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates without direct QA experience may be considered.
  • Basic English communication skills are an advantage.
  • Able to read and understand basic measurements, product specifications, and work instructions.
  • Good eyesight and strong attention to detail.
  • Responsible, disciplined, and able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Able to work in a factory and production environment.
  • Willing to perform repetitive inspection tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections on raw materials, components, work-in-progress, and finished products.
  • Inspect products according to company specifications, drawings, samples, and quality standards.
  • Identify and report product defects, abnormalities, damage, or deviations.
  • Conduct visual and basic dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Ensure products meet the required quality, size, appearance, and functional specifications.
  • Record inspection results accurately and maintain proper quality records.
  • Separate and identify defective or non-conforming products.
  • Inform the Production Manager of quality issues immediately.
  • Assist in investigating the causes of production defects and quality problems.
  • Conduct re-inspections after corrective actions have been taken.
  • Assist production staff in understanding and following quality requirements.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure operators follow established work instructions and SOPs.
  • Perform routine quality checks during production.
  • Assist with incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
  • Maintain proper inspection tools and equipment and report any issues.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and follows safety requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving QA procedures and inspection processes.
  • Support the QA team during customer inspections, audits, and quality investigations when required.
  • Perform other quality and production-related duties assigned by management.
