Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QC lab assistant to perform daily laboratory testing and support production teams in Butterworth. The role requires 0–2 years in QC, basic computer literacy, and the ability to follow standard methods.

Willingness to work shifts is essential, and candidates should be able to work both in a team and independently under supervision. Parking is provided with meal allowance, and there are opportunities for promotion and professional development within the manufacturing

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of QC experience preferred.
• SPM/Professional certificate/Diploma in any field required.
• Basic computer literacy and basic mathematics required.
• Willing to work shift.
• Team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily lab testing as per duty roster arranged by direct superior.
• Perform lab testing according to the standard method written in Lab Manual.
• Ensure the lab testing result is within the internal specification and inform superior/production when out of spec.
• Prepare the additives used for production as per Additive Request / Preparation Form.
• Make sure the weight of individual additive is correct before preparation and label the plastic bag accordingly.
• Update the additive stock card after preparation of additive.
• Correctly enter the testing result into the online QC system at the end of the shift.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and tidiness.
• Perform other tasks as required by HOD.
