Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory assistant to join its quality control team. You will prepare and label samples, perform routine tests, and maintain accurate records in line with SOPs.

You will work under strict safety guidelines, support R&D with shelf-life testing, monitor inventory, and keep the lab clean and organized to ensure reliable product quality across operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; science/food technology/chemistry degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and safety practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and label samples for testing as per SOPs.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests (e.g., moisture, pH, microbiological, or chemical analysis).
• Maintain accurate records of test results and report abnormalities to supervisors.
• Assist in the calibration and cleaning of lab equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
• Monitor inventory of lab supplies and report needs for replenishment.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols in the laboratory.
• Support R&D team in testing new products and improve shelf life extension.
