Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, reliability engineering, or related field.
• Expertise in root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and quality metrics.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of reliability engineering principles and testing standards.
• Product Engineering or Product Quality Engineering experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing quality initiatives.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with quality management software and data analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee QA and reliability programs across product lines.
• Conduct root cause analysis and FMEA to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Design and execute reliability testing protocols including accelerated life testing.
• Analyze quality metrics and performance trends to drive decisions.
• Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement using Six Sigma and Lean.
• Establish and maintain quality standards and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Mentor junior engineers to build organizational capability.
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and supply chain to meet quality requirements.

We're looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer (Product Quality & Reliability) to join our organization in Batu Kawan, Malaysia. In this role, you will lead quality and reliability initiatives across our product development and manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for establishing quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring our products meet the highest levels of reliability and performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive quality assurance and reliability engineering programs across product lines
• Conduct root cause analysis and failure mode analysis (FMEA) to identify and resolve quality issues systematically
• Design and execute reliability testing protocols, including accelerated life testing and environmental stress screening
• Analyze quality metrics, statistical data, and performance trends to drive evidence-based decision-making
• Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean
• Establish and maintain quality standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria aligned with industry best practices
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, quality procedures, and standard operating procedures
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and quality team members to build organizational capability
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met
• Manage quality management systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Present findings, recommendations, and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for test automation and implement tools to enhance efficiency and consistency

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, reliability engineering, or related field
• Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and quality metrics
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of reliability engineering principles and testing standards
• Product Engineering, Product Quality Engineering or equivalent working experience
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing quality initiatives
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
• Proficiency with quality management software and data analysis tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or product development environment

Preferred:

• Degree/Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent engineering field
• Knowledge of reliability testing standards and industry-specific quality requirements
• Experience with test automation tools and quality management platforms
• Background in electronics, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing sectors
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing engineering teams
• Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE) and advanced statistical methods
• Experience with supplier quality management and vendor collaboration
• Certification in quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, or similar)
