Job summary

A leading manufacturer of construction materials in Selangor is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer. This role involves ensuring safety standards, managing quality systems, handling audits, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality issues. Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience in QA/QC along with relevant engineering qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience for Diploma holders, or 3 years for Degree holders.
• Qualified ISO9001 internal quality auditor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high Health & Safety standards and promote safety culture.
• Conduct internal quality audits and follow up corrective actions.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints promptly.

Job description

Our client is a leading manufacturer of construction materials located in Selangor, and they are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure high Health & Safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Manage document revisions and ensure timely updates.
• Assist in preparing and distributing annual quality management reviews.
• Conduct internal quality audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with external certification bodies and labs.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers to address quality issues.
• Collect and analyse process data for performance reporting.
• Support product development, evaluation, trials, and qualification.
• Assist in raw materials evaluation and trials.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years QA/QC working experience (Diploma) or 3 years (Degree) in material engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or equivalent engineering.
• Knowledge in QMS ISO9001 and statistical skills will be added advantage.
• Qualified ISO9001 internal quality auditor from a recognised certification body.
• General computer knowledge, minimum Microsoft Office knowledge.
