Job Description

The Qualitative Director & Client Business Partner will lead the Business Development for Qualitative opportunities on targeted accounts and the Consumer Insights (Qualitative) projects being brought into the business. The successful candidate will proactively generate positive engagement and meaningful dialogues regularly with senior decision makers in the identified prospective clients by understanding their business needs, maintaining a trusted relationship and propose solutions to answer those needs.

  • Responsible for an annual revenue target to be executed / developed through new business in the year.
  • Work together with Vertical Leaders / Customer Success Teams and independently identifying and addressing client’s business issue or project brief, with the support from the technical teams proposing the right & relevant solution. This includes developing & presenting the proposed solution to clients.
  • Further foster strategic clients’ relationship with detailed account plans to cross sell or introduce new services, with the aim to provide impactful solutions to clients’ business issues and how we grow the key prospective clients strategically and structurally.
  • Lead/participate in the contract negotiation process to ensure “win/win”
  • Provide ideas and thoughtful insights into new ideas and initiatives for clients, showing competency in Thought Leadership
  • Accountability for the relevant KPIs; continuous monitoring of actual versus budgeted performance
  • Review and finalised draft designs (ie proposals, tools, analytic plans, reports, workshops)
  • Actively drive issue-based analyses, deliver proactive insights, and build effective analytical presentations and consultative storytelling to clients through insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Develop and deliver workshops, thought leadership and other client facing deliverables as appropriate
  • Team resource management leading to on time delivery & meeting quality expectations
  • Strong collaboration with Vertical Leaders / Customer Success and the existing Qual Team
  • Drive company initiatives and reinforce key messages
  • Effectively manage NIQ business processes relative to revenue and expense management
  • Full compliance with our costing, leads, pipeline and revenue systems in timely manner
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree is required
  • 12+ years of proven research experience in Qualitative Research across diverse categories such as FMCG, Telecoms, Finance
  • Expert knowledge of qualitative research techniques and methodologies (including but not limiting to focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnography, and observations).
  • Able to articulate valuable insights into powerful and impactful reports
  • An attitude of the doer and passionate about making a difference
  • Excellent client management and relationship building skills and ability to converse with mid-level stakeholders in client organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, familiar with Sales Loft, PBI, Salesforce alike
  • Ability to draw insights and good story telling skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
