A leading company in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves conducting tests, validating processes, and maintaining product quality. Conduct testing, verify, and validate the quality of products produced in the Malaysia plant. Participate in cross-departmental teams (Production, Engineering, etc.) regarding complex QRC issues (e.g., regulatory changes, product recalls). Provide support to manufacturing operations and conduct audits of internal QA programs and related documentation for the Malaysia plant. Ensure compliance with procedures related to product safety and quality. Stay current with food safety, quality regulations, policies, and issues; provide guidance and support to project activities in the plant.
Maintain and improve product quality through testing and recording in-process checks. Knowledge of Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) sampling plans is required for in-process quality checks. Conduct finished goods inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and tolerances.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in implementation using PEP program elements such as System Control Plans, SSOP, HACCP, Weight Control, and Consumer Complaint Reduction. Support troubleshooting efforts.
Demonstrate appropriate behaviors aligned with global leadership expectations.
Degree, Technical Certificate, or Diploma in Food Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 1 year (Degree) or 3 years (Diploma) in food manufacturing. Experience in chocolate/confectionery manufacturing is an advantage.
