Job summary

A maritime industry leader in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Chief Engineer with a valid Class 1 certificate and at least one year of command experience. The candidate will assist with various QA and safety duties, perform audits, and participate in incident investigations. Practical experience in leading investigations is required. This role demands strong coordination with superintendents and involvement in internal training programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year command experience or as Chief Engineer on board vessels.
• Practical experience in leading investigations after completing Accident Investigation course.

Responsibilities

• Assist as required in QA & Training Department for the QHSE Department.
• Coordinate with FD & Superintendents on all matters.
• Carry out internal and external audits for the fleet.
• Assist in Management Review and Evaluation of the Quality System.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• To have Master’s F.G. or Chief Engineer (Class 1) Certificate of Competency.
• Have minimum 1 year command experience or as Chief Engineer on board vessels.
• Completed an Internal Auditor’s course.
• Completed a course on Accident Investigation and gain practical experience prior leading in investigation.
