A leading manufacturing company in Penang is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities include inspecting materials, generating reports, and coordinating with departments. Candidates should have a Certificate or Diploma in Manufacturing or Quality and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience with calibration tools is a must.
Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Generate reports including Corrective Actions (customer complaints), First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Final QC reports, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) when required.
Improve QC workflow and educate the QC team on meeting customer requirements or WI/SOP.
Responsible for Quality Control related data summary, analysis, and reporting.
Able to use Zeiss CMM Machine, Height Gauge, Micrometer, and Keyence Multisensor Measurement M/C.
Able to use Caliper, Profile Projector, Feeler gauge, and Other Measurement Equipment.
Coordinate with relevant department heads regarding QA/QC matters.
Perform QC inspections for the manufacturing department in parts.
Able to interact with other departments on observations and corrections.
Able to read engineering drawings.
Able to prepare QC Data and Report.
Monitor calibration schedules for all equipment to prevent delays.
Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection of parts.
Assist in handling non-conforming products and supporting root cause analysis.
Lead the team during Internal/External Audit.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain product quality.
What we're looking for
Certificate / Diploma in Manufacturing / Quality or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
Hands-on experience in calibration of equipment and tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
