Job summary

Southern Cable Sdn Bhd invites a dedicated QC Engineer to join our Quality Assurance & Control team in Kuala Ketil, Kedah. You will implement, monitor, and improve QC procedures across manufacturing, ensuring highest quality standards and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 1 year in QA/QC in manufacturing, with knowledge of ISO standards and statistical QC tools. Collaborative problem solving and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance and control within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or equivalent).
• Proficiency in quality control tools and statistical analysis methods (SPC, Six Sigma, Lean).
• Experience with testing equipment and quality inspection procedures relevant to cable or electronics manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software.
• A valid driving licence is advantageous.
• Preferred: Certification in quality management or Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Conducting regular inspections and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects and deviations.
• Analysing quality data and preparing detailed reports to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of all quality control activities and test results.
• Performing statistical analysis and quality audits to ensure continuous compliance with established standards.
• Training and mentoring production staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Liaising with suppliers to address material quality concerns and ensure consistent input standards.
• Recommending equipment upgrades and process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
