Job summary

A leading company in the petrochemical industry is looking for a Document Controller to oversee documentation and testing procedures. The role demands strong knowledge of ASME and ASTM standards, proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and at least 2 years of experience in quality control. This position offers the opportunity to manage critical aspects of documentation in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related field with good computer literacy.
  • At least 2 years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Compile all test reports and documentation for Final Documentation (MDR).
  • Monitor the Destructive Testing status and follow up with QC lab technicians.
  • Liaise with Third Party Inspectors (TPI) for inspections based on orders.

Skills

Knowledge of standards such as ASME, EN ISO, and ASTM
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Basic knowledge of NDT methods
Ability to work under pressure

Job description

Compile all test reports and documentation for Final Documentation (MDR).

Extract chemical analysis values from KSS/RGU to be transferred to mill certificates.

Monitor Spectrolab activities with proper service/calibration of machines.

Liaise with the Head of Department to determine acceptance criteria and deviation acceptance per order.

Ensure all Spectromachines and tensile test machines are functioning properly.

Interpret approved ITP to provide test pieces, macro rings, micro samples, and stress rupture samples.

Monitor the Destructive Testing status list to ensure all mechanical testing is completed timely.

Follow up on mechanical testing with QC lab technicians and update the production team.

Arrange send-off of test samples for Stress Rupture Tests to Germany and prepare Final Documentation for clients.

Witness external mechanical testing at vendor’s site when required.

Create weld maps and fabrication data for each assembly.

Maintain and ensure validity of the measuring equipment calibration list.

Coordinate with QC Manager and purchasing team for regular calibration activities.

Liaise with Third Party Inspectors (TPI) for inspections based on orders and documentation review.

Ensure 5S practices are followed at Spectrolab and Mechanical Testing labs.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Knowledge of standards such as ASME, EN ISO, and ASTM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD, with ability to compile reports efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of NDT methods like Penetrant Testing and other destructive testing techniques.
  • Understanding of test requirements as per Inspection Test Plan.
  • High integrity, commitment, and ability to work under pressure.

Qualification

  • Minimum Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related field with good computer literacy.

Experience

  • At least 2 years in a similar role.
