A reputable construction company in Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC Engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, particularly in roads and infrastructure projects, focusing on quality assurance and compliance with HSE regulations. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to work under tight schedules. The ideal candidate will be proactive, capable of independent work, and possess strong communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
To manage/control the QA/QC activities according to the Inspection Test Plan & Project Quality Plan.
Verify the implementation and operation of the quality assurance and control systems by planning and conducting internal quality audits and inspection activities on site offices.
Ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of overall Quality Systems.
Ensure all contractual, company, and local authority requirements for Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) are complied with.
Plan and control project QA/QC works.
Work with project engineers and design consultants to establish procedures with time limits for inspection, sampling, testing of works, and all other QA/QC requirements.
Liaise with end users, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding QA/QC issues.
Report and rectify QA findings.
Advise subcontractors on client’s QA/QC requirements to ensure compliance with site-specific quality procedures.
Review subcontractor documents such as Project Quality Plan, Method Statements, KPIs, etc.
Assess construction and installation methods to ensure QA/QC procedures are properly implemented.
Conduct formal site QA/QC inspections, ensure remedial actions are completed, and submit reports to the client.
Audit Project Quality Plan, QA/QC Procedures, and site activities; submit reports and follow up on remedial actions.
Attend QA/QC meetings with contractors and weekly progress meetings as required.
Ensure non-conformities are reported through a Non-Conformance Report.
Experience with JKR projects is an advantage.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.
Minimum 10 years of experience with roads & infrastructure projects.
Experience with slope, road, and bridge construction is an advantage, preferably with JKR projects.
Positive attitude, highly proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work under pressure, tight schedules, and in stringent environments.
At least 10 years of experience in the construction field.
