About the job: QA/QC Manager (Food Manufacturer)
Company Background
We are representing our client, a fresh food manufacturer/central kitchen providing fresh food and ready-to-eat meals for the F&B and retail industry.
In line with their ongoing business expansion, our client is seeking a QA/QC Manager to oversee the QA and QC department at their new facility located in Balakong, Selangor.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the company's Quality Assurance & Quality Control Department in establishing and implementing quality control standards, procedures, and protocols to meet internal and external certification requirements.
- Analyze, evaluate, and qualify daily production standards and new product trial run procedures by collecting daily production data, quality control reports, product specifications, and other related data to address QA/QC issues.
- Lead FSSC 22000 application audits, HACCP, Halal Jakim audits, customer compliance audits, and conduct audits on supplier factories.
- Manage documentation related to all QA/QC applications such as HACCP, Halal Jakim, GMP, FSSC 22000, and other food safety standards implemented by the company.
- Monitor and lead the QA/QC team in inspecting samples from raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Guide the team in corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints and non-conformance issues identified during work processes, internal and external audits.
- Oversee production productivity, efficiency, hygiene standards, QA/QC work schedules, and pest control measures.
- Provide leadership, training, and supervision in kitchen hygiene SOPs, ensuring the company complies with current laws and regulations, and oversee the quality and proper usage of all food ingredients.
- Collaborate with other departments and suppliers on product quality issues to monitor raw material quality and implement quality improvements where applicable.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors or management.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma/Degree qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and quality control best practices.
- Experience with and knowledge of Hazard Analysis, HACCP, ISO, FSSC 22000 certifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
