Job summary

A leading company in food processing seeks a Quality Control Manager to oversee QA/QC compliance and develop quality management systems. The ideal candidate will possess a background in Food Technology and experience in managing quality assurance teams. You'll be responsible for ensuring product quality, leading audits, and fostering team development in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Food Technology.
• Good understanding of QA/QC disciplines.
• Knowledge of HACCP/ISO 22000/GMP.

Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Food Technology/Food Service or equivalent.

Preferably with some working experience or not, or equivalent.

Good understanding of QA/QC disciplines in food processing plants and/or FMCG manufacturing business, GMP, HACCP, ISO standards.

Good knowledge of HACCP/ISO 22000/GMP/FSSC22000.

Knowledgeable and experienced in leadership and managing people.

Good analytical and strong problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

1. Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO standards or industry best practices.
2. Establish and monitor quality assurance policies, SOPs, and documentation processes.
3. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
4. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
5. Liaise with regulatory bodies and customers on quality-related matters.

Quality Control

1. Supervise quality control teams and oversee inspections at various stages of production.
2. Ensure raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet specifications.
3. Develop and maintain inspection and testing protocols, records, and reports.
4. Investigate non-conformity, implement corrective actions, and monitor outcomes.
5. Coordinate calibration and maintenance of measuring and testing equipment.

People Management

1. Lead and train QA/QC teams to uphold quality standards and develop team capabilities.
2. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Reporting & Documentation

1. Prepare monthly quality reports and present findings to senior management.
2. Maintain accurate and updated records for audits and traceability.
