Job summary

A leading manufacturer of bus duct systems in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to oversee product quality and perform inspections. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in quality control and a relevant educational background. Responsibilities include supervising quality issues, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. This role requires physical stamina as it may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM/Certificate in related Field (e.g., Quality, Engineering, or a related discipline).
• Experience in quality control or related field for 3-5 years.
• Physical stamina is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise epoxy and outgoing quality issue.
• Support epoxy & outgoing activity if any.
• Conduct thickness insulation check.
• Check conductor quality - raw material, bending, cutting, welding.
• Review and support machine testing/setting parameter.
• Conduct internal calibration and daily inspections.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise epoxy and outgoing quality issue
• Support epoxy & outgoing activity if any
• Thickness insulation check
• Monitor and check conductor quality - raw material, bending, cutting, welding
• New incoming sample bar tester
• Review summary calculation - opening material
• Review and support set machine testing/ setting parameter
• 100% Check MCCB incoming
• Sampling check for certain incoming item (refer to incoming item list)
• Support to test new sample from supplier
• Support to check incoming new product range
• 100% checking for TOU section
• Incoming and TOU documentation (ISO9001)
• Internal calibration
• Joint tightening daily routine inspection
• Assist to collect schedule waste from shop floor to schedule waste facility
• Quality checking for outsource vendor process such as tin plating, housing coating
• Assist in Factory Test Acceptance preparedness
• Accessories testing and simulation if require
• Customer return item check - rework item
• Water test spray inspection for quality concern
• Understand and implement ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) in daily tasks. Continuously improve knowledge on HSE practices by participating in related training and awareness programs to support a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace at all times.

Qualifications

• Job Requirements: Candidate must possess at least SPM/ Certificate in related Field (e.g., Quality, Engineering, or a related discipline).
• Experience in quality control or related field for 3-5 years.
• Familiarity with quality control instruments and tools such as callipers, micrometres, gauges.
• Physical Stamina: The job may require standing for long periods, as well as lifting or moving materials and equipment.
