Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for a General Contractor of a US listed company(data center). The ideal candidate will ensure that all construction, installation, and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Compliance:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain the QA/QC Plan for the data center project in alignment with client requirements and industry standards.

2. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and contractual quality requirements.

3. Review design documents, specifications, and shop drawings to verify quality standards are met before execution.

Quality Control & Inspection:

1. Conduct daily inspections of construction activities, including civil, structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and IT infrastructure (power distribution, cooling systems, cabling, fire suppression, etc.).

2. Perform material inspections to verify compliance with approved submittals and specifications.

3. Monitor testing and commissioning processes (e.g., electrical load testing, HVAC performance, BMS validation) and document results.

4. Identify and report non-conformities, track corrective actions, and verify closure.

Documentation & Reporting:

1. Maintain detailed inspection and test records (ITRs), quality logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

2. Prepare daily/weekly QA/QC reports for project management and stakeholders.

3. Assist in audits (internal, client, and third-party) and ensure timely resolution of findings.

Coordination & Collaboration:

1. Work closely with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve quality issues and ensure corrective measures are implemented.

2. Conduct quality training and awareness sessions for site teams and subcontractors.

3. Participate in project meetings to provide QA/QC updates and recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).

2. 3+ years in QA/QC roles for construction projects, preferably in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale MEP projects.

3. Knowledge of data center systems (e.g., UPS, generators, chillers, raised floors, structured cabling).

4. Proficiency in quality management software and tools.

5. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and specifications.
