VINARCO is seeking a seasoned QA/QC Engineer (Civil) with a robust background in onshore oil & gas site preparation. The successful candidate will oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring compliance with specifications, supervising civil construction activities, and collaborating closely with project teams to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in civil/structural engineering or related field.
• Professional certification by accredited bodies/associations is an advantage but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for QA/QC management during site preparation activities of the project.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and contract requirements.
• Monitor and supervise QA/QC activities related to civil works of the onshore gas plant.
• Supervise civil construction activities such as rock breaking, earthwork, piling, foundation, etc.
• Monitor settlement in designated areas and review certifications and reports for materials.
• Implement Project Quality Plan and Key Performance Indicators.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Plans, and various QA/QC procedures.
• Monitor non-conformances, issue NCRs, and ensure corrective actions.
• Report quality issues during construction to the Senior QA/QC Engineer.
• Participate in audits and coordinate with internal teams on QA/QC issues.
• Liaise with Senior QA/QC Engineer on quality issues and report regularly.

QA/QC Engineer (Civil)

Job Description:

1. KEY OBJECTIVES

Responsible for QA/QC management during site preparation activities of the project.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Engineer, QA/QC (Civil), shall ensure compliance with project specifications and contract requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and supervising QA/QC activities related to civil works of the onshore gas plant to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of construction works.
• Supervising civil construction activities such as rock breaking, earthwork, piling, foundation, ground improvement, drainage, etc.
• Monitoring settlement in the designated areas.
• Reviewing certifications and reports for materials such as civil materials and structural steel.
• Monitoring the implementation of the Project Quality Plan and Key Performance Indicators/Project Quality Objectives.
• Reviewing Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Plans, Work Instructions, Method Statements, and various QA/QC procedures.
• Ensuring effective implementation of procedures and work instructions during project execution.
• Monitoring non-conformances regularly, issuing NCRs, and ensuring corrective actions are taken and NCRs are closed.
• Reporting quality issues during construction to the Senior QA/QC Engineer and Construction Manager.
• Participating in audits conducted by the contractor and company, following up on findings and closure.
• Coordinating with internal teams such as engineering, construction, HSE, and installation regarding QA/QC interface issues.
• Monitoring the QA/QC performance of the contractor, addressing quality issues, and attending QA/QC meetings.
• Liaising with the Senior QA/QC Engineer on all quality issues and reporting regularly on the contractor's quality performance.
• Following up and verifying As-Built and Final documentation.

3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in civil/structural engineering or related field.
• Professional certification by accredited bodies/associations is an advantage but not mandatory.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 20 years of experience in site preparation activities for onshore oil & gas facilities.
• Previous experience with oil and gas operating companies or contractors involved in civil construction is required.
