Job summary

EUROVISTA TECHNOLOGY SDN BHD in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Head of Quality to oversee supplier quality, incoming QC, SPC, in-process control, and outgoing/customer QA. You will set quality direction and drive performance in line with customer expectations.

You will lead a team of Quality Engineers and technicians, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, manage audits and CAPA programs, and collaborate with production to achieve timely material release and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2-3 years of QA/QC managerial or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS.
• Experienced in 8D, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA and other quality tools.
• Experienced in handling customer complaints, audits and quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Overall Quality Department function including supplier quality management, incoming quality control, SPC, in-process control, and outgoing/ customer quality assurance.
• Set quality direction and own quality performance in line with customer expectation.
• Ensure compliance for the implementation and maintenance of quality systems in accordance with customer, internal, ISO Standard, and regulatory/ legal requirements.
• Raise NCMR/CAR according to procedures.
• Ensure compliance with customer quality & regulatory requirements through effective quality planning and collaboration with the customer to establish acceptable and realistic quality criteria.
• Ensure closer of quality issues through root cause analysis and implementation of effective containment and close loop corrective/ preventive actions (8D method)
• To lead a team of Quality Engineers, inspectors, technicians and provide support to cross-functional managers to ensure corrective actions/ quality continuous improvement occurs per committed timeline. Direct, control, and motivate all quality subordinates in all aspects affecting their work performance
• Initiate joint continuous improvement program with the customer to further improve customer satisfaction.
• Establish departmental level quality KPI & target, review and report quality performance regularly to ensure the target is achieved.
• Review QA procedures and documentation from appointed vendors to verify conformance to project specifications codes & standards
• Report to the management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
• Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with Production, Planning, and Supply Assurance to ensure timely verification and release of material/ product.
• Monitor daily QA operations and re-prioritize QA Ops deliverables, where required, evaluate and resolve any QA-related events escalated by QA technicians to minimize production downtime.
• Execute other tasks assigned by the superior.
