A leading specialty chemical company is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Executive. The role involves overseeing safety measures, ensuring compliance with standards, and addressing any health-related issues. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have 3-5 years of experience. Qualifications

  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree from Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in the related field.

  • Plan and implement HSE measures and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Perform weekly inspections of plant & office facilities for safety compliance.

Job description

Well versed in Quality Management System. Full understanding of the production flow with ISO practices in mind

Good exposure in handling customer complaints, incoming & outgoing defect, auditing and ISO standard

Overall supervision of Quality Control section function and liaise with Production in quality improvement activity

Key responsibilities for HSE:

Plan, coordinate and implement HSE measures to provide a conducive, safe, healthy and work environment that meets HSE performance target, national regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Keep abreast of current & emerging safety and health standards & practices. Report any new or updated information to management and the Committee

Perform detailed inspection of plant & office facilities on a weekly basis in accordance to inspection checklist to ensure compliance with safety standards and rectify any safety & health deficiencies must be highlighted.

Organize training on fire drill, first aid, chemicals spilled / leakage & other areas which help to strengthen Health, Safety and Environment.

Organize and coordinate safety and health meetings, including arranging for minute to be taken.

Requirement:

Min. Bachelor’s Degree from Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent

At least 3-5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position

Positive attitude, proactive, independent and a good sense of responsibility
