Job summary

A leading company in food production is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to ensure safety and quality in raw materials. This role involves supplier audits, compliance verification, and is ideal for candidates with a degree in Food Science or a related field, alongside relevant QA/QC experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working experience in QA/QC roles within food manufacturing.
• HACCP training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of FSSC 22000, GMP, VHM, and Food Regulations 1985.

Job description

Responsibility: To ensure the safety and quality of incoming raw materials and packaging materials; to verify supplier compliance with food safety and regulatory/international standard; to evaluate and approve new suppliers through audits and performance monitoring; to verify Certificate of Analysis (COA), product specifications and support materials release decisions; to manage supplier documentation and quality records for traceability and compliance; to oversee pest management in receiving, processing, storage and surrounding areas by reviewing reports and verifying service execution; to coordinate with internal teams and external providers to resolve quality issues and implement improvements; and to support internal/external audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor' s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in QA/QC roles within the food manufacturing. Salary RM3K and above depending on the qualification and experience.
• HACCP training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant standards: FSSC 22000, GMP, VHM, and Food Regulations 1985.
• Experience in supplier audit is preferred.
