Job summary

Katimas Group in Kuching, Sarawak seeks a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to design and maintain test plans, test cases, and scenarios for web, mobile, and backend systems. You will execute manual and automated testing, identify defects, verify fixes, and conduct regression testing before release, collaborating with developers to improve software quality.

Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL data validation, SDLC/Agile, and test automation is required; experience with Git, ClickUp, or Jira is

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent is required.
Minimum 2–3 years in software testing or QA.
Hands-on software testing experience across web, mobile, and backend platforms.
Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Experience with automated testing tools for backend, databases, and UI.
Familiarity with Git, ClickUp, Jira or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Design, prepare, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and backend systems.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects until resolution.
Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before production deployment.
Work closely with developers to investigate root causes and improve quality.
Validate application data using SQL and NoSQL databases.
