A leading company in the electronics manufacturing sector seeks an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager in Gelang Patah, Johor. This role involves collaborating with customers on quality issues, managing documentation, and leading quality assurance activities. The ideal candidate should have a background in Engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical skills to ensure product quality and compliance.

Act as the key liaison between the company and customers on quality-related matters.
Coordinate and follow up on Failure Analysis (FA) tests, prepare reports, and submit them to customers within the required timeframe.
Manage customer PNR (Product Nonconformance Report) / CAR (Corrective Action Report), ensuring timely and effective closure.
Attend to customer feedback on non-conforming (NC) lots, perform on-site verification when necessary.
Coordinate sorting, replacement, or scrap of non-conforming parts returned by customers.
Monitor and follow up on SAC (Sample Approval Certificate) progress with the customer.
Track customer gauge calibration status and acknowledge new gauge models received from the customer.
Prepare and attend presentations, audits, and quality meetings as scheduled by the customer.
Internal Quality Assurance Activities:
Investigate and verify internal NCs reported by IPQC and production (including on-hold items).
Develop or revise quality control documentation (e.g., check sheets, control plans) to support ongoing improvements.
Prepare and issue Quality Alerts and Work Instructions (WI); conduct training or briefings to IPQC and relevant staff.
Organize and conduct quality meetings with production teams to discuss issues, root causes, and customer concerns.
Monitor the P3 system (Production Problem Points) and ensure closure of open items by the end of each month.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial), or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in QA/Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Experience dealing with international or local customers and external audits is an advantage.
Skills:
Strong understanding of quality systems, root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone), and corrective/preventive actions.
Familiar with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality management systems.
Good documentation skills – ability to prepare technical reports, work instructions, and quality alerts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Able to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
