DESIGNATION: Test Automation

SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS

• Carry out tasks in accordance with the QC framework including establishing and tracking quality assurance metrics, establish test automation, design test cases and efficiently increasing test coverage.
• Responsible for timely completion of quality test within project timeline and free from defects and meeting company’s standards and procedures.
• Meets the business and technical requirements that guided its design and development.
• Require writing scripts for automation testing.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identify deviance from standards and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.
2. Ensure test procedures are well documented to ensure reusability and compliance with standards.
3. Ensure software defects are documented using tracking system, and defects are to software development team.
4. Maintain and write new automation script for functional testing and regression testing.
5. Design, develop, execute and be responsible for bespoke test automation frameworks to cater for all test automation needs of various projects/products.
6. Review application and automation code to ensure adherence to guidelines and standards.
7. Ensure that all testing is done in a systematic way; identifying and logging test failures; ensuring that all failures are re‑tested.
8. Perform Static Testing: Validate accuracy and completeness of requirements by using requirement document.
9. Define and prepare the following documents:
   • Requirement review checklist
   • Requirement Traceability Matrix
   • Test Scenario and Test Case
10. Build and Update Application Regression Test Suite with respect to the current requirements.
11. Build Test Plan, Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Data.
12. Build, Update and execute all the testing type documented in the test plan such as smoke test, functional test, non-functional test, performance test, security test etc.
13. Ensure handshake from SIT/QA to UAT: this activity includes sharing of Test Cases, Test Results and Defect Logs with the Biz users.
14. Ensure regular Defect Triage meetings and Defect Reporting: These meetings are to discuss the critical and high impacting defects so as to prioritize and fix them.
15. Perform Regression Testing: Execute the Regression Test Suite. This is to be done at the end of each type of testing. It could be Full Regression Testing or Partial Regression testing based upon the change in functionality.
16. Perform Causal analysis of all defects raised during various types of testing, especially the escaped defects.
17. Perform Test Phase Quality Review along with all impacted stakeholders.
18. Perform end to end testing on Mobile automation platform.
19. Perform verification of data via backend DB and GUI.
