Job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PW4 Maintenance Technician to join our team at OOI WAN LYE SENDIRIAN BERHAD. This is a full-time role based in Penang, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing maintenance building to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure work procedures meet technical specifications under the supervision of team leader.
• Ensure smooth operation of work activities at site
• Ensure timely reporting to project engineer according to standard and procedure
• Provide assistance to team members to ensure maintenance work meet technical specifications
• Provide assistance to team leader to ensure maintenance work are completed within planned cost and time.
• Strictly adhere to safety standards and intervene on unsafe act.
• Provide assistance to team leader to ensure team workers receive appropriate instruction, training and guidance in order to undertake their duties
• Provide assistance to team leader to coordinate and schedule resources and allocate work orders.
• Strictly adhere to safety standards and intervene on unsafe act.
• Ensure safekeeping of tools and equipment.
• To complete risk assessment, any potential problem at the site and work to prevent it.
• Ensure good housekeeping during after job completion
• Maintain good relationship with clients, team workers, contractors and suppliers.
• Provide assistance to project engineer / coordinator for site investigation and report writing.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of machinery and equipment
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• GDL license
• PW4 certificates
