The role

A construction company is seeking a talented Purchasing Specialist to join their dynamic team based in Subang Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time role, this position will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective procurement processes to support the company's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from requisition to vendor selection to order placement

Research and identify potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities to meet internal procurement requirement

Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, terms and conditions to minimize costs and optimize value

Monitor stock, forecast demand and coordinate with other department to ensure inventory levels to meet production demands.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements and prioritize orders

Ensure purchased materials meet required quality standards and resolving any issues related to quality or delivery

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of goods and services

Continuously seek opportunities to optimize purchasing activities and drive cost savings

Maintain accurate records and generate procurement-related reports

Support the implementation of "Just-in-time" purchasing policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in construction industry
