Job description

We are seeking a proactive Purchasing Officer to join our team in a fast-paced furniture manufacturing environment. The role involves sourcing materials, managing suppliers, and ensuring timely procurement to support production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source, negotiate, and secure the best deals with suppliers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production needs.
  • Identify and source new suppliers or parts for product development or cost optimization.
  • Coordinate material requirements with internal teams (Production, Engineering, QA, Warehouse).
  • Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Maintain accurate purchase records and documentation.
  • Follow up on deliveries and resolve any delays or issues.
  • Support project purchasing and urgent procurement needs.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, preferably in furniture or manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel); experience with ERP systems like Navision is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a bonus.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and good work discipline.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
