About the Company:
Our client is a reputable and fast-growing company in the Metal/Building Material sector, known for its dynamic work culture and commitment to operational excellence. They are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to support their procurement and supply chain operations at the Midvalley office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day purchasing activities including sourcing, issuing purchase orders, and following up on deliveries.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock for operations.
- Verify invoices and delivery orders, and coordinate with the finance team for payment processing.
- Keep track of purchase records, supplier contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend new or alternative suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with good attention to detail.
- Able to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
