Job description

OUR CLIENT

An international based Electrical product manufacturer serving the Building Automation industry.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement of electrical raw materials and oversee the end-to-end supply chain and shipment process.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Develop the purchasing strategies and category plans to support the business to include supply market and industry analysis, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
• Sources for raw materials for Production and equipment and spares parts for production and maintenance.
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts for pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent material availability.
• Manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and procurement schedules in line with production requirements.
• Coordinate with logistics partners and freight forwarders for timely and cost-effective shipments.
• Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations and documentation requirements.
• Track inbound shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to forecast material needs and manage budgets.
• Continuously analyze market trends and sourcing opportunities to optimize costs and supply chain efficiency.

Requirements:-

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management in related field.
• At least 10 years working experience as Procurement/Sourcing Lead and Manufacturing field is required for this position.
• Able to work in fast paced environment with good time management.
• Excellent organization skills and good networking with suppliers.
• Possess interpersonal skills and also good negotiation skills.
• Able to lead the Purchasing department towards excellent performance.
