Position Overview:

This role is responsible for overseeing the full operations of the purchasing department, including daily procurement activities, process improvements, supplier management, and interdepartmental coordination. The ideal candidate should have management experience in purchasing or trading-related industries, with a strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and familiarity with ERP systems. This position will lead 4 purchasing teams and 1 import logistics team, ensuring procurement processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.

  • Lead and manage the overall daily operations of the purchasing department, including 4 purchasing groups and 1 import logistics team.
  • Develop, review, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective procurement processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods to support business operations.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and negotiate with suppliers for better terms and pricing.
  • Coordinate closely with logistics, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure alignment on inventory and sourcing plans.
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with company policies and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis on purchasing activities, cost trends, and supplier performance.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of ERP system usage within the department.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a trading or import-related environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team across multiple product groups.
