Purchasing Manager (Cable Industry) - US Based MNC

Our client, US-based Interconnect MNC, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team at the Simpang Ampat plant.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the purchasing team to achieve departmental KPIs.

Ensure on-time delivery of materials for smooth production operations.

Provide guidance to buyers to resolve critical supplier issues.

Source and procure direct and indirect materials.

Select and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best terms and pricing while maintaining good relationships.

Review purchase orders to ensure correct parts are procured at the right MOQ and pricing.

Collaborate with various departments to optimize inventory levels, minimize delays, and maintain efficient operations.

Identify and select the best sources of supply based on pricing, quality, delivery lead time, freight costs, and other key criteria.

Work with the Logistics team to ensure timely delivery of orders.

Collaborate with the QA team on RTV parts and the Receiving team for any delivery issues from vendors.

Adhere to quality and safety systems or maintain quality and safety standards.

Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Expertise in product specifications and material properties for optimal sourcing and procurement.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and relational databases.

Good knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems.

Strong sourcing and negotiation skills.

Willingness to work odd hours when necessary.

Familiarity with ERP systems.
