Job summary

A leading Asset Management & Infrastructure Solutions company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing functions, implement strategies, and manage supplier negotiations. The ideal candidate will have a degree and extensive experience in procurement and managerial roles, demonstrating strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsible for the day to day purchasing function

Establish and implement purchasing strategies, policies and procedures

Manage the sourcing of new supply bases for competitive pricing, quality and reliable products.

Monitor on-time supplier deliveries, inventory turns ERP, purchase price variance, lead-time reduction, supplier performance and cost analysis.

Work closely with the team to ensure purchasing compliance to corporate directives.

Establish, build and maintain relationship with all keys suppliers in meeting the quality target and standard

Negotiate pricing contract and payment terms with suppliers

Review and resolve any discrepancies with supplier invoices, grievances, claims, conflicts, product non-conformance or quality issues

Process purchasing orders and work closely with Accounts Department to prepare for payment upon terms agreed.

Understand and follow the company's OSH policy.

To participate in risk, safety, quality, environmental and business continuity activities of the organization

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a degree in any discipline

Minimum 5 year experience and at least 2 years in managerial capacity

Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skill, hands on approach to all tasks

Self-motivated and ability to direct energy and commitment to achieve excellent results
