Purchasing Manager

Your new company

Our client is a leading producer of oleochemicals and is involved in the manufacturing and marketing of high-quality oils. Their products are used in a wide range of applications in various segments, and serve customers globally. They are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement process primarily for raw materials and for the manufacturing of downstream palm oil products.

Your new role

In this role, you will be fully responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, particularly oils, as well as spare parts, packaging materials, and lab/process chemicals. The position requires you to plan and execute purchasing activities in line with internal procedures, evaluate market trends and supplier performance, and manage budgets efficiently. You will also ensure goods meet quality and specification requirements, participate in bid evaluations, and resolve supplier claims. Additionally, you will support the implementation and reporting of QHSE, Food Safety Management, Responsible Care, and Energy Management systems, while fostering a safety-conscious culture through staff training and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Minimum Qualification – Degree/ Diploma in Business Management or equivalent.
2. Minimum of five (5) years working experience in the manufacturing industry.
3. Knowledge of QHSAS and Food Safety Management system is essential.
4. Must have knowledge in Palm Kernel, CPO and CPKO.
5. Good communication and presentation skills.
