To formulate a purchasing plan for the Company.

To ensure the purchasing operations are running smoothly through proper planning and organizing.

To develop the system and structure for purchasing and supply chain.

To manage the operations of sourcing, developing, and negotiations skills and knowledge.

To evaluate the purchasing performance (KPI).

To ensure that all data, reports, and documents prepared are accurate and error-free.

To ensure that all assignments or tasks are completed according to the planned schedule.

To supervise and monitor the clerical works of purchasing and sourcing team members, e.g., Purchasing Executive, Officer, and Assistant.

To verify and confirm that the invoicing of Import Freight amounts is correct.

To approve purchasing documents such as Purchase Orders (PO), except for import purchases, plastics raw material purchases with payment in advance, and buffer stock plastics raw materials proposed by Purchasing, New Material Testing Forms, and Delivery Orders (DO).

To verify and confirm the costing and quotations for packaging, plastics raw materials, and mould parts.

To control and standardize the item code of non-inventory materials into the purchasing or ERP system.

To control and update new inventory item groups into the purchasing or ERP system.

Responsible for sourcing alternative vendors and developing potential vendors.

To monitor and keep track of market price trends.

To monitor and evaluate supplier performance regarding quality, delivery lead time, services, and support.

To establish cost reduction strategies.

Follow up on outstanding purchase orders (PO) and expedite delivery dates.

Coordinate with related departments on material issues impacting production lines.

To review and maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL).

Any other duties and/or assistance as assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

The Purchasing Executive, Officer, and Assistant shall represent the department in performing their daily work in the absence of the Purchasing Manager. The director shall intervene for any approvals or higher authority involvement during the absence of the Purchasing Manager.

Job Requirements/Specifications:

• Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related working experience in a manufacturing environment or similar field.
• Resourceful and proactive.
• Good decision-making, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
