Responsible for planning, sourcing, selecting, and cost negotiation within the requirements of quality, delivery, service, payment terms, and discount to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensure all Purchase Requisitions, Capex, and tenders are handled without delay. Prepare bid awards requiring board approval and PowerPoint slides for projects/renovation, facility equipment/upgrade, and outsourcing tendering.
Evaluate vendor proposals/quotations to ensure compliance with healthcare specifications, quality standards, and financial terms.
Ability to forecast purchasing needs based on market trends and internal demand, and analyze usage patterns and inventory levels for efficient stock control.
Ensure prompt delivery of goods, manage supplier performance, and resolve product quality issues while coordinating returns or compensations.
Coordinate with all related department heads to achieve planning targets and meet the schedule of medical equipment/supplies/services purchase.
Monitor and forecast overall orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery of goods.
Liaise with suppliers on all matters related to product quality, returns, and compensation in case the product does not meet the requirements.
Responsible for the continuous development and improvement of procurement processes.
Update and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with the company’s internal control guidelines.
Maintain monthly purchasing records, reports, files, and statistics.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Administrative/Marketing/Business or its equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of working experience, preferably with exposure to the Healthcare Industry.
Excellent writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to perform basic data analysis is an added advantage.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Capable of working independently, handling multiple responsibilities, and willing to work extra hours when required.
