Job Description:
• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure optimal terms and conditions.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor market trends to identify potential cost savings.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Manage inventory levels and optimize inventory turnover.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs.
• Resolve procurement-related issues or disputes.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulations relevant to procurement.
• Address issues promptly and coordinate with related departments for resolution.
• Work with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot technical problems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Respond to emergencies related to plant processes.
• Monitor maintenance activities, including costs, spare parts inventory, and preventive/corrective actions, working closely with Maintenance to control costs and minimize downtime.
• Support sourcing and negotiation of strategic contracts.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.
