- Possess a SPM/STPM/Diploma in Business Administration/ Engineering or any other fields.
- Minimum of 1 year(s) and above of direct experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cost analysis techniques to evaluate supplier proposals and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Strong analytical thinking skills to assess market trends, supplier capabilities, and potential risks in the supply chain.
- Proven ability to manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient acquisition of materials and services.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is essential to effectively communicate and negotiate with suppliers in these languages; proficiency should include both verbal and written communication.
- Working knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken, to facilitate communication with local stakeholders and internal teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite environment in Pusing, demonstrating adaptability and responsiveness to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with AutoCount system to manage purchase orders, track inventory, and generate reports.
- Execute procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and ensure timely delivery of materials, aligning with LTP Engineering's operational needs.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, leveraging fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese to engage with international vendors.
- Manage the full procurement cycle, from generating purchase orders to tracking shipments and resolving discrepancies, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering and production teams, to understand material requirements and specifications, facilitating effective communication and minimizing procurement errors.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, utilizing analytical thinking to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost criteria, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards and mitigate risks.
