Job Description
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery, in line with project timelines.
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process from purchase requisition to purchase order and delivery, ensuring timely availability of materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules, non-conforming parts, and warranty claims.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their delivery punctuality and quality performance.
- Support the project team in obtaining up-to-date cost information from suppliers.
- Ensure all purchasing activities are in compliance with company policies, procedures, code of ethics, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Carry out other ad-hoc tasks as been assigned by superiors from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a project-based manufacturing or assembly environment. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, training will be provied.
- Experience in the furniture and fittings industry and ability to read technical drawings is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- A good team player who can adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Mandarin/Chinese language ability is a strong plus as need to deal with supplier from China.
- Willing to work at Kapar, Klang.
