An established industry player is seeking a skilled procurement specialist to manage sourcing and vendor relationships. To perform sourcing, compiling, negotiating, and evaluating the prices, specifications, and contracts to support optimal purchase decisions.
Issuance of Purchase Orders (PO), follow-up, and verification of applicability to SST.
Manage rejected goods and items with stakeholders and suppliers, determine causes of problems, and take corrective and preventative actions.
Responsible for liaising with suppliers regarding quotations, order acknowledgments, and delivery statuses.
Manage vendor registration and ensure necessary documentation is obtained.
Conduct annual supplier assessments on quality, performance, and delivery.
Ensure matching of PO, Delivery Order (DO), and invoices; input data into the ERP system.
Follow up on payment statuses.
Responsible for annual supplier assessments (quality, CPAR, delivery, performance) and audits.
Follow up on QAS forms and sample testing with R&D.
Provide material costing information to stakeholders.
Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Possess Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Economics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, or equivalent.
At least 2 years of working experience in sourcing and general procurement activities.
Good understanding of the supplier landscape, integrity, independence, resourcefulness, and ability to engage stakeholders with minimal supervision.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, highly adaptable, and able to manage workload based on changing priorities.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
Effective negotiation and follow-up skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
Willing to be based in Pulau Indah, Selangor.
