• Research and identify potential suppliers of raw materials.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company requirements.
• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including price, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with legal and contract management teams to draft, review, and finalize supply agreements and contracts.
• Ensure that contracts align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and economic factors that may impact raw material costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through negotiations, bulk purchasing, and alternative sourcing.
• Coordinate with logistics and inventory management teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of raw materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure a reliable supply of raw materials.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, agreements, and performance metrics.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on raw materials sourcing.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Fluent in oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin will be an added advantage.
