Job description

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Executive (Mandarin-Speaker) to join our procurement team in the hardware industry. You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to create cost-effective purchasing plans, ensure timely material acquisition, and maintain accurate records, using your communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to drive success.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs.

Verify stock levels upon receiving purchase requisitions.

Process purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on order status.

Ensure that procured products meet proper QA/QC standards.

Issue Goods Received Notes (GRN) upon receipt of materials.

Maintain and update records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.

Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues.

Assist in sourcing new suppliers and evaluating their performance.

Support cost reduction initiatives and procurement process improvements.

Manage ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or a related field.

Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in procurement software.

Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin, English & Bahasa Melayu to effectively communicate with suppliers and internal teams.

Proven experience as a Purchasing or similar role in the hardware or related industry.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
