Are you highly organized, analytical, and ready to take on a dynamic role in a healthcare environment? We are a reputable and well-established hospital seeking a Purchasing Executive to support the operational backbone of our hospital.

Summary of Duties:

As a Purchasing Executive, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of medical and non-medical items. From sourcing and vendor coordination to reporting and complaint resolution — your work will directly impact the efficiency and care we deliver.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Procurement Duties

• Source and evaluate quotations for all item categories (e.g., medical equipment, consumables, furniture)
• Prepare comparison bid sheets and coordinate demo arrangements
• Issue Purchase Orders (PO) for fixed assets
• Follow up on deliveries via phone and written communication
• Negotiate bulk/package/contract purchases with vendors

2. Operational Support

• Provide support in daily purchasing tasks during staff absence
• Distribute samples, collect and tabulate evaluation forms
• Record and assist during tender openings
• Generate weekly reports on outstanding fixed asset deliveries
• Close outstanding Purchase Orders across all categories
• Liaise with vendors on product complaints

Who Are We Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Purchasing Department
• Holds a Diploma, Degree or equivalent in Business Admin, Purchasing, Inventory, or related fields
• Computer literate and comfortable working with data
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up discipline
• Hospital background is an added advantage
