Job description

Review, evaluate, and monitor purchase requisitions for proper authorization, specification, and compliance.

Identify and select vendors to procure local and project materials and/or services meeting criteria of price, quality, availability, and delivery dates.

Establish and maintain supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.

Research and resolve issues related to receiving and accounts payable.

Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of products and/or services.

Plan and purchase components locally and globally to support the local and project teams.

Negotiate, source, and develop a pool of alternate suppliers/sub-contractors to reduce costs and lead times.

Conduct supplier qualification, evaluation, and follow-up on vendor delivery performance.

Generate purchase orders, follow up on overseas shipments, and verify vendor invoices.

Maintain procurement databases, prepare reports, and ensure the accuracy of procurement activities, on-time delivery (OTD), and cost analysis.

Coordinate with the Finance department regarding supplier invoices and payment issues.

Collaborate with Operations and other departments on material planning.

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, SOPs, codes of value, and ISO requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Supply Chain Management/Logistics or equivalent.
  • Preferably 2-3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and result-driven.
  • Proficiency in English, Mandarin (mandatory), and Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
