About the Job

As a Purchasing Executive, you will take charge of day-to-day purchasing activities and work closely with suppliers, the store team, and delivery staff to ensure smooth operations. This role is hands-on and requires both attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Job Description
  • Handle the full purchasing cycle: order placement, tracking, and follow-up with suppliers
  • Negotiate prices and terms to secure cost savings and reliable delivery schedules
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the store team for timely replenishment
  • Verify goods received against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
  • Support delivery scheduling when procurement delays or stock issues arise
  • Prepare simple purchasing and stock reports for management
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in purchasing/procurement (ideally in trading, distribution, or SME environments)
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with suppliers
  • Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak & understand Mandarin is an added advantage
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic ERP/inventory systems
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Minimum SPM/STPM/Diploma qualification — practical experience is highly valued
