We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our AREX PRECISION MANUFACTURING (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD' team in Pekan Nanas Johor. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement of materials, components, and services to support our manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic goals of our growing company.
What you'll be doing
Manage the purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiating, and securing the best possible terms and pricing from suppliers
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production and inventory teams, to accurately forecast and procure the necessary materials and components
Maintain comprehensive records of all purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery information
Proactively identify and resolve any supply chain issues, ensuring the timely delivery of materials and components
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and identifying opportunities to optimise inventory
Participate in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Provide regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and other key performance metrics
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment
Strong understanding of purchasing principles, supplier management, and inventory control
Proficient in using procurement software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industry regulations is an advantage
