About the role

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the procurement process by coordinating purchasing activities, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate purchasing records.

What you will do

  • Handle all deliveries of goods to the appropriate departments within the hotel including loading and unloading carts and placing in appropriate storerooms.
  • Ensure loading dock and receiving areas are kept secure, clean and organized.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm delivery schedules, and track order status.
  • Maintain and update supplier records, pricing, and product specifications.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to clarify procurement requirements and resolve order-related issues.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative support role.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative attitude and works well with colleagues across departments such as finance, warehouse, and operations to ensure efficient procurement processes.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external suppliers, both verbally and in writing. Capable of handling negotiations, follow-ups, and issue resolution effectively.
