Job summary

A leading food company in Malaysia is looking for an administrative support staff for purchasing operations. Responsibilities include issuing Purchase Orders, monitoring deliveries, evaluating vendor quotations, and maintaining stock levels. Candidates should have at least SPM qualification and experience in purchasing is a plus. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and must be willing to work in the Hutan Melintang area.

  • Maintain proper documentation to ensure compliance with Purchasing SOP.

Job description

To perform daily purchasing operations, including issuing Purchase Orders (PO), monitoring delivery status (import & local), and following up with suppliers on abnormal goods received or complaints highlighted by related departments, to ensure timely receipt and quality of goods and services.

To perform evaluation and compare vendor quotations to secure the best value, quality, and lead time; recommend suppliers for approval.

To monitor stock levels and coordinate closely with warehouse/inventory teams to prevent shortages and overstock.

Liaise with government agencies (e.g., MPOB, KPDNKK) for permit applications, renewals, and monthly data submissions.

Maintain proper documentation (invoices, delivery orders, certificates of analysis, etc.) to ensure compliance with Purchasing SOP and support audit requirements.

To maintain and update material master file information in the system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

Assist in conducting monthly stock takes and verifying stock card records to ensure the accuracy of physical stock against system records, and to identify and report any variances for corrective action.

Job Requirements:

At least in SPM qualification
