Job Responsibility
- Get involved in procurement when requested by the project team.
- Issue Purchase Orders (PO) for vendors upon order confirmation, checking material stock and comparing pricing from at least three suppliers.
- Discuss with supervisor and send out quotations to customers. The project costing will be prepared by the engineering team; your role is to markup from the cost price and send it to the customer.
- For projects awarded by customers, arrange orders and delivery to the site, ensuring the costing matches the initial estimates.
- Perform any other duties assigned or instructed by superiors from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers. Entry-level candidates with a Diploma in a relevant field are welcome to apply.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders according to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including vendor information, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Support the purchasing team in identifying and evaluating new suppliers to optimize costs and quality.
