Job summary

A leading technology innovator in Malaysia seeks a Purchasing Executive to oversee procurement processes and supplier management. The ideal candidate should be skilled in negotiation, have relevant qualifications in business or supply chain management, and experience in purchasing roles, particularly in a multilingual environment.

• Must be fluent in Mandarin and English, with Bahasa Malaysia as an advantage.

Review, evaluate and monitor purchase requisitions for proper authorization, specification and compliance.

Identify and select vendors to procure local & projects materials, and/or services meeting criteria of price, quality, availability and delivery dates.

Establish and maintain supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.

Research and resolve to receive and accounts payable issues.

Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of products and/ or services.

Responsible for planning and purchasing the component from local and globally, to support the local & project team.

Negotiate, source and develop a pool of alternate suppliers/ sub-contractors to reduce cost and lead time.

Conduct supplier qualification, evaluation and follow-up on vendor delivery performance.

Generate Purchase Orders, follow up on overseas shipments and verification of vendors invoices.

Review, monitor, prepare and perform database maintenance, report & record, the accuracy of procurement activities, OTD and cost analysis.

Co-ordinate with the Finance department with regards to suppliers invoices and payment issues.

Coordinate with Operation and other departments on Material Planning.

Ensure purchasing & procurement activities comply with the company's policies & SOP, code of value and ISO requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Business Studies/Administration/ Management/ Supply Chain Management/ Logistics or equivalent.

Preferably 2 years - 3 years and above of working experience in the related field for this position.

Good interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, self-motivated, gold oriented and result-driven.

Required languages (s); English, Mandarin (compulsory) and Bahasa Malaysia will benefit. We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.

Proficient in MS Office applications.

Capability to handle multi-tasks.
