Join our team as a Purchaser cum Storekeeper and take on a vital role in overseeing both purchasing activities and store inventory management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
PURCHASING:
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best prices and terms.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders based on approved requests.
- Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments to meet material and supply requirements.
STOREKEEPING:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain proper stock levels and organize inventory systematically.
- Perform regular stock checks and update records in the inventory system.
- Issue materials and supplies to relevant departments promptly.
- Ensure the store area is well-maintained, safe, and organized.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR :
Education & Experience:
- Minimum SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in a relevant field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in purchasing or storekeeping, with F&B industry experience considered an advantage.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control and efficient storekeeping procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Detail-oriented and responsible, with a strong sense of trustworthiness.
Languages:
- Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
